EFT from my experience…

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)/tapping can be a fantastic relaxation technique that is designed help you release emotional blockages and negative beliefs that you might have been taught by your parents, teachers, society, culture and your environment. Or you might have concluded them yourself from other people’s behaviour towards you.

A simple example:

Your father never paid attention to you as a child. You might have concluded that you are not good enough or not important.

Consequently, you might have always felt ‘not good enough’ or ‘not important’ throughout your whole life. It might have been that you have allowed others to treat you as ‘not important’ because unconsciously you believe that you are ‘not important’ about yourself.

Scientific explanation of EFT

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or tapping is a universal energy-based coaching and self-help tool. Tapping has been shown to work when nothing else will.  EFT seeks to address imbalances within a person’s energy system, as well as the energetic influence of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions on the body.  The prevailing premise of EFT is that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. It’s believed that EFT helps clear these disruptions, thereby restoring the flow and balance of the body’s electromagnetic and more subtle energies.

EFT focuses on the meridian points — or energy hot spots — to restore balance to your body’s energy. Restoring this energy balance can relieve symptoms a negative experience or emotion may have caused.

Based on Chinese medicine, meridian points are thought of as areas of the body energy flows through. These pathways can help balance energy flow to maintain your health. Any imbalance can influence your physical and emotional well-being.

Tapping is designed to help you access your body’s energy and send signals to the part of the brain that controls stress (amygdala). Stimulating the meridian points through EFT tapping can reduce the stress or negative emotion you feel from your issue, ultimately restoring balance to your disrupted energy.

One study, conducted by Harvard Researchers and published in the research journal “Human Brain Mapping” in 2000, found that when the acupoints were stimulated there was reduced arousal in the amygdala which plays a significant role in the body’s stress response.

How is EFT designed to work?

You think about, or talk about, whatever the problem is, while “tapping” with your finger tips on specific places on your own face, upper body and hands,…

You rate the intensity of your issue on a scale from 0 to 10.

You start tapping on nine endpoints of your body’s energy meridians.

As a Certified EFT coach Roshy can show you how it works and guide you through it.
